Natural Skin Care: How to Treat Adult Acne

by Abigail McKenzee

Once you've come out of puberty you never have to worry about another pimple again, however, that isn't true for everyone. A significant percentage of the population develops what is known as adult acne.

Just like in cases of teen acne, there seems to be no particular cause. Many specialists say that adult acne is linked to genetics or hormones, but no matter the cause, there is always a viable treatment.

Before you decide to ignore your acne pimple, please remember that an untreated acne condition can lead to acne scarring. I am sure you can understand the great advantage there is to treating your acne opportunely.

There are several treatment options, but not enough time to cover them all in depth. So, this time around we'll concentrate on one in particular: natural skin care for adult acne.

Natural Acne Treatment

Generally speaking, acne is treated with a medicated acne cream or a rigorous cleansing routine. However, if you prefer a more gentle treatment then you can use natural methods to help deal with your acne problems safely and effectively.

In general, avoid popping pimples or picking at scabs. Doing either will irritate your skin and eventually lead to acne scarring. Also, try and keep your hair out of your face. Hair can easily transfer oils and possible bacteria to your skin.

Other simple tips include eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and less fried food or junk foods. Now, let's take a look at the natural products you can use to alleviate your acne problems.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is gathered from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree which originates from Australia. It contains bacteria-fighting substances called "terpenes" which make it very effective against acne. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the use of terpenes can help destroy or weaken them.

Tea tree oil has very little side effects. However, it can irritate sensitive skin, so proceed with caution.

Aloe Vera

The watery gel-like leaves of the aloe vera plant are very effective against acne. Their success is due to enzymes, anti-inflammatory properties and anti-bacterial properties.

Honey

Honey is a very common acne treatment. It has been used as an anti-bacterial product for centuries. Due to its low water content and acidic pH level, it is a poor environment for the growth of bacteria.

This is wonderful news for acne sufferers. As mentioned previously, acne is generally caused by bacteria so using honey masks can help eliminate these bacteria.

A safe and effective acne treatment is key to preventing acne scars and helping promote healthy skin. BIOSKINFORTE is an adult acne cream that contains snail serum. This miraculous ingredient has antiseptic and anti bacterial properties that help combat the bacteria that are responsible for causing acne.
